Craig Gillis would like to address firefighter turnover as the Ward 6 councillor for South-West Oxford.
SOUTH-WEST OXFORD - A local firefighter is looking to become the next Ward 6 councillor of South-West Oxford.
Craig Gillis has been with the Beachville Fire Department for nine years, and is also the heard manager at a local dairy farm.
He would like to do his part to help the community.
"I think this is just another opportunity moving forward to support your family, friends and community while bringing forward things to help them out."
Gillis would like to address a big issue facing the municipality.
"We have had a lot of firefighter turnover in South-West Oxford and I think council needs to be a little bit more involved in that in helping that from continuing and breaking that trend."
Gillis would also like to see accountability and fairness represented for all tax payers.
