It sounds like it's going to be a difficult day in court for the jury, the public, media and family members of Tori Stafford. Morning testimony from OPP Sargent Jim Smyth of the Criminal Profiling Unit has been on the stand this morning, talking about how Terri-Lynne McClintic helped their investigation by describing specific landmarks in attempt to locate the body of murdered Woodstock girl Tori Stafford. Smyth was the officer to find Tori's remains. Smyth was driving through a rural area and saw a house that was nearly identical to a house McClintic had described for police. He says he drove down a laneway across from the house, saw a rock pile as McClintic had described, and smelled the odour of decomposition. Photos of that house near the murder scene, and of the rock pile where he located Tori's remains were shown to the court. Before breaking for recess, Heart FM's Blair Wilson says Justice Thomas Heeney delivered a warning. "There's teary eyes in the court house and Tara McDonald has left. The judge has now warned the jury and other members of the court that graphic images will be illustrated." Justice Heeney told jury member to try and use "clinical detachment" when viewing the photos.
