Oxford OPP are investigating a Wednesday night Crime Spree in Embro.
EMBRO - The tiny community of Embro has been dealing with an alarming spike in crime in recent weeks.
Just before Easter the bank in Embro was robbed at gun point and now the Oxford OPP are investigating a crime spree that took place this week.
Officers got word of several thefts Wednesday night, including a stolen pick up truck that was taken overnight from a home on Wallace Crescent. London Police later recovered Chevy Silverado and arrested two suspects.
Oxford OPP also recovered a stolen 1989 Oldsmobile on Commisioners Street in Embro, which had been reported stolen by London City Police.
Another vehicle was entered overnight on the same street and the window was smashed to get inside. The suspect or suspects gained access to credit cards from a wallet left in the vehicle.
And finally a work van was entered overnight on St. Andrew Street, with a the door lock damaged to gain entry. The suspect stole several tools with an approximate value of $3,000. List of items stolen include:
- DEWALT 6 piece combo power tool kit
- DEWALT hammer drill
- DEWALT angle drill
- DEWALT batteries
- DEWALT 20 volt radio
- STANLEY level
- FLUKE T-1000 volt meter
