Environment Canada and the OPP are advising drivers to stay off the roads today as the risk of freezing rain, and blowing snow will make roads very dangerous.
UPDATE: The Winter weather travel advisory has been lifted for Oxford and Brant County.
OXFORD COUNTY - Strong winds, blowing snow and the risk of freezing drizzle is the perfect recipe for disaster on the roads.
There is another Winter Weather Travel Advisory in effect for Brant and Oxford Counties today. With possibly 5cm of snow accumulation.
OPP Constable Ed Sanchuk says people should really focus on driving to the weather conditions.
"Please slow down, drive safe, the weather is deteriorating. Do not drive on the roadways like it's 90 degrees out there, your going to flip your car and we do not want another fatality."
Sanchuk strongly suggests adjusting any travel plans you may have for the day.
Environment Canada is predicting freezing drizzle today, tonight and tomorrow.
