ONTARIO - The leader of the Ontario Liberal Party is calling on the Ford Government to vaccinate all teachers in the Province next week during the Spring Break.
Party Leader Steven Del Duca issued the following statement.
"Today I am calling on Doug Ford to use the upcoming April Break to vaccinate all education workers who would like to receive one, so that our schools stay open permanently. With around 200,000 education workers in Ontario’s publicly-funded schools, around 1.5 million doses in fridges, and the capacity to vaccinate 150,000 people per day, this shouldn’t be as difficult as Doug Ford is making it."
Del Duca says school closures have caused nonstop chaos for students since last March.
"This is entirely preventable by vaccinating education workers. Doug Ford needs to stop playing political games, hoarding vaccines in fridges to blame the federal government, and secure our classrooms now."
Premier Ford is set to make another announcement this afternoon at 1:00 pm.
