A new Industrial Park is scheduled to start construction. City council approved a tender from local GRT Excavating. The cost of the project is just over 2-million dollars. City Engineer Harold DeHaan says GRT actually came in under budget for the project but it still needed to go before council because of the large dollar figure attached to the project. The project is slated to begin in late April or early May depending on the weather. The project includes installation of sanitary sewers, storm sewers, watermain, and sections of road. DeHaan predicts the project will take close to three months to complete.
