WOODSTOCK - Oxford County Public Health is searching for the owner of a Boston Terrier after a dog biting incident on the Hickson Trail in Woodstock.
The small dog has black or brown colouring and was wearing a black jacket. The dog was being walked by a woman wearing a hat, about 5'7 to 5'8 inches tall on Sunday April 8th on the Hickson Trail. Public Health is hoping to find the owner to avoid rabies treatment for the woman who was bit.
Public Health is asking the dog owner, or anyone else with information, to please contact Anitta Sundarampillai at 519-539-9800, extension 3417.
Remember, rabies is a fatal disease. Dog bites should be reported to Public Health to confirm animal vacations are up to date. If you are bitten or scratched by an animal, wash the wound thoroughly with soap and water, seek medical attention and call Public Health at 519-539-9800, ext. 3410 or 1-800-755-0394.
