One person is accused of choking their victim, while another is charged with assault, forcible confinement and sexual assault with a weapon in two separate domestic assaults in Perth County.
PERTH EAST - A 40 year old from Perth East is accused of choking someone during a domestic last Tuesday.
Police were called to the home just after 3 pm on July 20. After investigating, police determined another domestic assault happened at the same house two weeks prior, but was not reported.
The 40 year old Perth East resident was charged with the following:
- Assault Cause Bodily Harm- Choke, Suffocate or Strangle
- Uttering Threats - Cause Death or Bodily Harm
- Mischief - Destroys or Damages Property
- Failure to Comply with Undertaking

LISTOWEL - A 61 year old has been charged with assault and forcible confinement after a domestic assault in Listowel.
Police were called to a home just after 3:00 pm on July 16. During the investigation, it was learned that one person had been assaulted on two occasions, and sexually assaulted.
As a result, a 61-year-old resident of Brampton was arrested and charged with:
- Assault (two counts)
- Forcible Confinement
- Sexual Assault with a Weapon
- Assault with a Weapon
