A shocked and upset woman called the police after a drone captured her changing her clothing inside her home.
NORFOLK COUNTY - Norfolk OPP are investigating after a woman noticed a drone that seemed to be filming her while she was getting changed in Port Dover.
Constable Ed Sanchuk says the woman noticed a man nearby, who appeared to be operating the drone.
"The startled female, looked outside her window and observed the drone, which appeared to have a recording device, attached to the bottom of the drone. The victim immediately opened the window and yelled at a man who appeared to be operating the drone."
Police are searching for a suspect, who was last spotted heading down Prospect Street in Port Dover. The suspect is described as a man between 60-70 years of age, white coloured hair and he was wearing a hooded sweater.
Sanchuk says they are asking for the public's help in tracking this man down.
"So if you know anyone in the area who has been known to fly drones, in this case here, this young lady was in her home, changing her clothing in her bedroom, which is located at the back of the residence. Detectives with Norfolk OPP want to speak to this individual, so if you know somebody who matches this description you are being urged to contact Norfolk OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact Crime Stoppers and be eligible for a cash reward."
This incident happened on Monday January 13th around 10 am. Sanchuk says they are urging residents to always draw your blinds, curtains or shutters because you just never know who may be trying to check up on you.
