Two 30-year-old men from Brantford have been charged with a list of drug and weapons related offences after Brant OPP responded to a traffic complaint Friday night.
BRANT COUNTY - What started out as a traffic complaint on Bishopgate Road in Brant County turned into so much more.
OPP officers arrested two people associated with the suspect vehicle at around 9:00 p.m. Friday night. They arrested two 30-year-old men from Brantford and now they're both facing a list of charges.
One man has been charged with operation while impaired, unauthorized possession of a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, opioid possession (2 counts), possession of a credit card (2 counts) and possession of an identity document (9 counts).
The other man has been charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, opioid possession, possession of a credit card (6 counts) and possession of an identity document (9 counts).
Both men have been released from police custody and they will appear at the Brantford Court House at a later date.
