A 32-year-old from Woodstock is facing drug trafficking related charges after Woodstock Police responded to an incident close to Standard Tube Park Friday morning.
WOODSTOCK - Charges have been laid following an incident close to Standard Tube Park last week.
The Woodstock Police Service responded to reports of a crash and an altercation on Dundas Street close to 11th Line at around 10:00 a.m. on Friday. A man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries but he has since been released.
Officers arrested their suspect shortly afterwards and they seized drug paraphernalia, weapons and over $3,000 Canadian.
Thirty-two year old Sherold McGuire of Woodstock has been charged with the following offences:
- Possession of hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of hydromorphone
- Possession of fentanyl
- Failure to comply with release order
- Failure to comply with probation order
The investigation remains ongoing at this time and anyone with information should contact the Criminal Investigations Bureau.
