East Zorra Tavistock Council wants the public's input on how to handle their township office situation.
EAST ZORRA TAVISTOCK - East Zorra Tavistock Council is trying to determine how they should handle their township office situation.
The Hickson Municipal Office no longer fits their needs, to the point where council meetings are now behind held at the Oxford County Administration Building in Woodstock.
Corporate Services Manager Will Jaques says the township will host three public consultation meetings next month.
"With all of the information that council receives they are hoping they can develop a recommendation on a preferred option whether it be build new or lease from a private developer."
If they decide to construct a new building it would be located at 89 Loveys Street in Hickson, right across the road from their current office.
Jacques says deciding to lease could lead to some other choices.
"That could be in the form of an existing building that somebody may own and wish to lease space or somebody may wish to build new."
The first meeting will take place at 10am on November 1st, during the regular township council meeting. The next will happen at 7:30pm that evening at the Innerkip Community Centre. The last one will be held at the Tavistock Memorial Hall on November 2nd, also at 7:30pm.
