OXFORD COUNTY - Face masks are being made mandatory for all students in the Thames Valley District School Board starting in Junior Kindergarten.
The board made the decision last night during a special meeting. They did acknowledge though, that this is not really enforceable for younger students.
If a student has a medical condition they will not be forced to wear a mask. Teachers will also be instructed to ensure students have a break from wearing a mask when they can properly socially distance. This was one of several decisions at the school board meeting last night.
Ontario has already made it mandatory for all students in the Province from grade 4 and up to wear a mask if they plan on attending school in person.
