WOODSTOCK - Over 800 patients could be left without a family doctor in Woodstock.
Dr. Jehan Zaib is leaving her practice in Woodstock at the end of the year due to a family emergency in Thunder Bay. She will not be in the office, effective December 31st 2019. Her office is located at 300 Main Street Unit 4. Dr. Zaib started the practice, just a few short months ago and had already signed up over 800 patients. Those patients will be left without a family doctor for the time being.
They are working to find a new doctor to come into town to take her position, however so far that search has been unsuccessful. The nurse at the clinic, Jennifer Harder will be staying on in the new year to get results and touching base with Dr. Zaib and touching base with patients if anything is abnormal, however they will not be seeing patients in the New Year, or at least until they attract another doctor for the family practice.
The City of Woodstock announced Dr. Zaib was coming to town in June as part of their physician recruitment program.
