People of all ages are welcome to participate in a Walk and Run fundraiser through Roth Park on Sunday October 21st.
WOODSTOCK - The Upper Thames Brewing Company is getting ready to host a family friendly Walk and Run for a local cause.
Karen Gopsill is one of the organizers setting up the race on Sunday October 21st. She says all of the proceeds will benefit one of Oxford's beautiful trails.
"Oxford County is always looking to expand the Hickson Trail. Right now it's about 21km but they're looking to extend it more so obviously they need donations towards that to help."
Gopsill says the family friendly event will take you along an 8km route.
"It will start at the brewery, go down Lansdowne to the east entrance of Roth Park, down the paved area to the west entrance of Roth Park and back to the brewery the same way that it went."
The walking portion is set to start at 10 a.m. while the running gets underway about a half hour later.
It costs $40 to register and you can do so online here.
