OTTERVILLE/DELHI - A family pet has died after a vehicle left the roadway and entered a ravine on Swimming Pool Road between Delhi and Otterville.
Constable Ed Sanchuk says the lone driver was able to escape.
"A vehicle was travelling south bound on Swimming Pool Road when the driver left the roadway and plummeted approximately 20 feet down into the ravine below me here. The vehicle was submerged. The 60 year old male driver from Marathon Ontario was able to escape and as a result officers are continuing to investigate. It appears that impaired by drug is being considered a contributing factor."
The crash happened last night around 8:30. The sad news out of this collisions is that the family dog was found deceased as police pulled the car out of the water.
