A Woodstock man dies as a result of a single vehicle crash on Hwy 59 south.
Oxford OPP had a short section of Highway 59 south closed Monday evening following a single vehicle fatal crash.
Police say they responded to the scene of the crash around 6:00 pm between Patullo Ave and Greenly Line. The lone occupant of the vehicle, 76 year-old Joseph Hughes of Woodstock was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The highway was closed for a number of hours as Technical Traffic Collision Investigators were on scene.
Police say their investigation is ongoing.
