The first Festive Weekend of the year is coming up for Downtown Woodstock.
WOODSTOCK - There are only two weekends left before Christmas, so the Downtown Woodstock BIA would like to get everyone into the holiday spirit.
The next couple of weekends will be Festive Weekends with strolling musicians, free pictures with Santa Claus, and free train rides in Museum Square.
Operations Manager Duane Kumala-Thomas recommends showing up early for the Santa photos because the lineup can get long.
"We've had to shut it down up to an hour before to make sure that everyone in line gets into the house. So be there early, Santa does take his time with the kids so it's a great time."
The Santa photos are being offered by the Woodstock Camera Club.
Kumala-Thomas says a local dance studio will also have a showcase at 2:00 p.m. this Saturday.
"Dance In Style Studio will be coming down and they do it annually. I remember last year was a great turnout because they have great support from their parents, their family, and then everybody there gets to see it as well."
The festivities will run from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Fridays and from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
Duane Kumala-Thomas also talked about the Woodstock Shopping Night on Thursday December 19th during his interview with Dan and Marcie on Wednesday December 11th. You can listen to the full interview below:
