The New Hamburg Firebirds wrapped up the Niagara Jr C West Division Finals at home last night. The Firebirds defeated the Norwich Merchants 5-1 to take the best of seven series in five games. It was a tight game going into the third period tied at 1-1, before New Hamburg was able to break the tie with four unanswered goals in the final period. New Hamburg will now face the defending champs, Grimsby Peach Kings in the Niagara Jr C League Final. Grimsby swept Glanbrook in four games in the East Division finals.
