The Annual Salvation Army Food Drive sponsored by Woodstock-Ingersoll & District Real Estate Board goes Wednesday at 6pm in both Woodstock and Ingersoll.
WOODSTOCK / INGERSOLL -- It's a chance to take a few minutes this week to help a worthy cause.
Wednesday is the day to have your non-perishable food items at your front door for volunteers collecting on behalf of Woodstock & Ingersoll District Real Estate Board.
Local Realtor Reinetta Gossier says they'll be out later Wednesday collecting food for the local Salvation Army.
"The support is great, it's getting bigger and bigger every year. Last year we collected four and a half tons of food which supplied maybe three months worth of food for families in Oxford County."
Residents who received bags and flyers in the mail advertising the food drive can leave their donation out front of the home, with bags marked "food drive" for pick-up before 6:00pm Wednesday evening.
If you didn't receive one, Nicole Bowman with the Woodstock & Ingersoll District Real Estate Board says there are other ways to get your donation to the Salvation Army.
"If that's the case and you don't see a flyer and a bag show up at your house but you'd still like to donate, you can bring the donation directly to the Salvation Army between six and eight o'clock on May 7th as well."
Participating Salvation Army locations are:
-190 Huron Street in Woodstock
-194 Thames Street South in Ingersoll.
