Premier Ford promises kids will return to in class learning in September and says the Province is working on an update for what comes next, after Stage 3.
The Province will release a back to school plan shortly.
Premier Doug Ford confirmed today that kids will be going back to school in September.
"The kids are going back to school in September, they will be in class, I want to repeat that, they will be going back, even if I have to hop onto the school bus and drive them myself and it is going to be a great comprehensive plan."
Ford also encouraged all teachers to get vaccinated ahead of the school year.
Education Minister Stephen Lecce is working with the new Ontario Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kieran Moore on a back to school plan that will be released shortly.
Ford also stated they will also be coming out with a plan for life after stage 3.
"Dr. Moore will be rolling that out very shortly, we want to hit our targets of 80% first dose, 75% second, really the protocols, for the most of them are gone, with the exception of a few that he may want to keep in place. For the most part everyone has worked hard and we are going to move beyond this and start working on the economy.
