Unifor Local 636 is teaming up with Operation Sharing and the Beachville Firefighters Association to offer a free Thanksgiving dinner for those in need Monday afternoon.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock's Unifor Hall will be opening its doors to the less fortunate this long weekend.
Unifor Local 636, Operation Sharing and the Beachville Firefighters Association will be hosting a free Thanksgiving Dinner on Monday.
Recreation Chair Scott Bradford says it will include all of your holiday favourites.
"It's a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with turkey, potatoes, stuffing and vegetables. We have pies for dessert as well and ice cream bars for the kids."
Bradford says this meal would not be possible without the community's support.
"Foodland is a great partner with us. They donate the pies every year for it and they give us a very good deal on the items we need for the dinner. The Beachville Firefighters Association has once again bought the turkeys for the meal; there are 14 turkeys this year."
Things will get started at 1 p.m. and wrap up closer to 3 p.m.
If you need a ride Woodstock Taxi can pick you up, if you contact them in advance by calling 519-537-5500.
