You can now order farm fresh produce online.
OXFORD COUNTY - It's now even easier to order your Garden Fresh Box in Oxford County.
The Woodstock and Area Community Health Centre in partnership with Ingersoll Pharmasave are now providing online ordering.
"You will see your different choices so you can purchase them online and where you want to pick them up in Woodstock, Tillsonburg or Ingersoll," says Health Promoter Linda Dimock.
She says vouchers must be purchased by the 15th of each month for either a $12 small box or $17 large box.
"We purchase wholesale and we pass that on to the consumer. This is a nonprofit, everybody sort of volunteering together partnership to get more really fresh fruits and vegetables at good costs for people out in the community."
Dimock says buying the box often encourages residents to eat more produce as they don't want to see it go to waste.
"We also put recipes in there and it encourages people to try new fruits and vegetables. Things they may not have tried before with the recipes and then they go 'Oh!' We've had people say 'oh my god I didn't know what this leak was' and now they love leak and potato soup."
The Garden Fresh Box changes from month to month depending on what fruits and vegetables are in season. Click here for a link to online ordering.
Boxes are picked up the last Tuesday of each month.
You can purchase in person at the following locations:
Ingersoll: Fusion Youth Centre, Ingersoll Pharmasave, Victoria Park Community Centre, Ingersoll Services for Seniors
Tillsonburg: Dereham Forge Housing Co-operative, 390 Quarter Town Line
Woodstock: Mike’s Electric, Woodstock and District Developmental Services, Woodstock YMCA, and WACHC (cash only)
