Health Minister Christine Elliott says we are starting to see a "Glimmer of Hope" with signs of Omicron stabilization and that the virus is expected to peak this month.
Ontario could be getting ready to ease some of the current pandemic restrictions.
Yesterday Premier Doug Ford said good news is on the way, while speaking with a radio station in Ottawa. Today Health Minister Christine Elliott says we are starting to see a glimmer of hope in the battle against Omicron and the fifth wave of COVID-19 hitting the Province. Elliott says there are signs of Omicron stabilization and that the virus is expected to peak this month. She also wanted to be clear February will still pose a serious challenge, especially for our hospitals.
We have not been given any word on an official announcement from the Province. The earliest the modified stage 2 lockdown restrictions can be lifted in January 26th.
