The Township of Blandford-Blenheim and the Ingersoll District Curling Club will be splitting the share of $400,000.
OXFORD COUNTY - $400,000 dollars is being given to Oxford County.
The money will be split in half and the Township of Blandford-Blenheim and Ingersoll District Curling Club will each get $200,000, which comes from the Ontario Trillium Foundation's Capital grant stream.
Blandford-Blenheim is using the money to create an accessible playground at Drumbo Park, while Ingersoll District Curling Club will install a new chiller system to improve efficiency, reduce costs and create and maintain quality ice surfaces.
MPP for Oxford County, Ernie Hardeman shares his thoughts about the funding coming to the communities.
"Our government believes organizations like the Ingersoll Curling Club and the park at Drumbo enrich the lives of people in the community. That’s why I am proud they are receiving capital funding support“ This support will enable them to better serve the people of Oxford and continue to make a positive difference."
These capital grants are part of the more than $28 million supporting 300 local programs and services that help deliver critical community programming across the province.
