Convenience stores are once again rallying in hopes of one day being about to sell liquor in their establishments. Local MPP Ernie Hardeman says while he has had some discussion on the topic locally, it usually begins by him going into a convenience store and starting the conversation, not with people coming to him. "Over the last number of years I've had the convenience store people tell me they would like to be able to market beer and wine in the stores but at the same time, it hasn't been part of the public domain debating how we market our spirits." Hardeman says the government is also doing a review of how well the LCBO is doing and what can be done to make it better.
