Ontario's Health Minister does not have any immediate plans to reinstate the mask mandate.
Christine Elliott was asked about the rising case counts in Ontario during a press conference this afternoon.
Wastewater monitoring suggests cases have been rising throughout the month and many experts have stated Ontario is already in the 6th wave of COVID-19.
Elliott was asked about reinstating health measures today, she says it is time we learned to live with the virus.
"We are now in the stage where peak of pandemic has passed us. We need to get on with our lives and learn to live with COVID."
Elliott was asked if there was a number to look out for in terms of hospitalizations that would force the province to reinstate the mask mandate.
She said that right now, that doesn't appear necessary but if the Province does need to take further measures, they will.
