Summer has arrived and with it comes a heat warning from Environment Canada.
It's the first official day of summer and with that comes a heat warning from Environment Canada today.
Temperatures will hit 32 degrees today and with the humidity it will feel more like 38 degrees. Later today an approaching cold front could also bring some scattered showers and thunderstorms, followed by cooler conditions tonight.
Everyone is at risk when the heat is this bad but it can be especially bad for seniors, infants, young children and people with chronic illness. The best thing you can do is drink plenty of water and if you do have to work outside today make sure to take plenty of breaks in a cool place.
