Two schools were placed under hold and secure after an early morning scare in Woodstock.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police had a heavy police presence in the area of Finkle, Dover and Walter streets this morning.
They were concerned about the wellbeing of a local man. Two schools in the area were contacted by Police as a precaution. C.A.S.S was placed under a lockdown and Oliver Stephens was in a hold and secure. Police say the decision to put the schools in a lock and hold was to minimize the flow of vehicular and human presence in the area so Police could conduct an investigation. They say they were not concerned for the public safety during the investigation.
At 11:09 this morning the man was located by police and taken into custody.
Woodstock Police would like to thank the public for their assistance and cooperation.
