High E-coli Levels

Pittock deemed unsafe for swimming

OXFORD COUNTY - Pittock has once again tested high for E-Coli bacteria. 

The public is being asked to avoid swimming in the Reservoir as the elevated bacteria level in water is an indicator of fecal contamination from either animals or people or both. 
 
According to Public Health, Contact with E. coli bacteria and other disease causing bacteria can lead to skin, eye, ear, nose and throat infections or gastrointestinal illness.
