Information Oxford and 211 have released the Holiday Sharing Guide for 2016.
OXFORD COUNTY - Information Oxford has released its sixth annual Holiday Sharing Guide for 2016.
Families in need can look to the guide for information to help them out during the holiday season. Others can also use the guide to help them donate to specific drives and fundraisers in the area.
Kelly Gilson, Executive Director of United Way Oxford tells Heart FM about some of the information in the guide.
"It really lists everything from gifts and clothing drives to Santa Clause Parades because many of them actually do community food drives during the parade as well. It has information on shelters and temporary housing."
Gilson adds the guide really helps families find help over the holidays.
"It's difficult sometimes to navigate through systems; it can be a bit overwhelming absolutely. It's our obligation responsibility to continually make it easy for people to be able to access the help that they need and this is a tool to do that."
