The Sam Roberts Band and Jo Jo Mason will be performing in Woodstock with the CP Holiday Train this year.
WOODSTOCK - The CP Holiday Train is coming back to the Friendly City.
The locomotive with 13 cars will be completely decked out with Christmas lights when it stops by 199 Winniet Street on November 29th this year. Media Relations Advisor Mallory McCredie says the train has raised a lot of money over the past 19 years.
"Since the train began we have actually raised more than $13 million dollars and 4 million pounds for food banks in North America."
CP will send out two holiday trains starting on November 25th and they will leave from Montreal Quebec. The trains travel through both the U.S. and Canada to bring holiday cheer to 182 communities along CP's network. The holiday train will also be making stops in Ayr and London on the the 29th.
The train will arrive in Woodstock at 6:40 p.m. and in Ayr at 5:20 p.m. The performers this year are The Sam Roberts Band and Jo Jo Mason.
Those who attend are asked to bring a non perishable food item for the food bank.
