It was a steady, but not busy month for local real estate sales in September. 99 properties sold last month, up 4% from August, also marking a month-to-month increase over the entire summer. However, sales numbers are down about 15 per cent from this time last year. President of the local real estate board, Lori Goldhawk says demand is steadily increasing right now, which contrasts many other markets across the country where the housing market is cooling off. The average sale price last month was just over $215,000, which is up only slightly from this time last year.
