A man who allegedly broke into a shop in South West Oxford got more than he bargained for when he was confronted by the owner.
SOUTH WEST OXFORD - A man who allegedly broke into a shop in South West Oxford got more than he bargained for when he was confronted by the owner.
Police say the break in happened overnight on Monday on Culloden Line. Police say the man entered a shop on the property when he was confronted by the owner. The two got into a verbal altercation, when things turned physical. The suspect tried to flee the scene and was chased down by the property owner. A fight took place and the howeowner was able to subdue the suspect and hold him until police arrived.
Officers arrested and charged 45 year old Christopher Scott Durston of Woodstock with break and enter, assault, trespassing at night, possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order and fail to comply with a probation order.
