TEETERVILLE - One horse was injured after a crash on Windham Road 6 near Teeterville.
Police say a truck collided with a horse when it ran onto the roadway on Monday night around 6:00 p.m. The truck suffered extensive damage and the horse sustained injuries to its rear leg in the collision.
Constable Ed Sanchuk says you always have to be cautious for animals running onto the roadway.
"It's not always possible to avoid a collision with an animal, particularly if it suddenly runs onto the road. But drivers can take sensible precautions to minimize the risk of a collision. Motorists are being urged to drive with caution and within the speed limit and to be aware of their surroundings at all times. Predictable is preventable, make safety your priority."
