Hydro One has launched a Small Business Pandemic Relief Program.
Since the start of the pandemic, the company has noticed the outstanding balance of business customers increase by 51%.
The new relief program will help connect customers with up to $3,000 in financial assistance.
Vice President of Customer Service for Hydro One Spencer Gill joined Heart FM for an interview about the new program this week. We asked him how many small businesses right now have outstanding hydro bills.
"Right now we are starting to see customers fall further behind, it's less than 1,800 customers right now, they seem to be falling further behind and really, we are trying to reach those customers right now, because we are here to help and we are really encouraging customers to give us a call."
Gill says they understand the struggles facing small businesses right now.
"I just want to reinforce the fact that small businesses are the heart of the communities we serve, we are hear to help, so let us help you."
Small business owners can find more information about this program by calling1-888-664-9376.
