An issue with seat belt buckles has prompted Hyundai to issue a recall on Sonatas.
Hyundai is recalling about 10 400 Sonatas in Canada.
The recall covers 2015 midsize models built between April 25th of 2014 and December 4th of 2014 as they attempt to fix a problem with the front passenger seat belt buckles.
Hyundai says if the metal tongue on the belt is forced into the buckle at a certain angle, the buckle could jam and won't fasten. A dashboard warning light should come on if the belt is not properly buckled.
No injuries have been reported to the company because of this problem.
Dealers will either repair the buckle or replace it at no cost to the owners and the repair should take less than an hour.
