Oxford County's Ella Shelton and the rest of Team Canada will begin the IIHF Women's World Championship with a matchup against Switzerland at 7:00 p.m. tonight.
BRAMPTON - Oxford County's very own Ella Shelton is about to hit the ice at the IHHF Women's World Championship.
The tournament will officially get underway in Brampton today. Team Canada will be facing Switzerland at the CAA Centre tonight starting at 7:00 p.m.
This won't be Shelton's first time sporting a Team Canada jersey. She was on the Canadian women's hockey team that won gold in the 2022 Women's World Hockey Championship, the 2021 Women's World Hockey Championship, and the Beijing Winter Olympics.
She called the Heart FM studio on Friday March 17th for an exclusive interview with Dan and Marcie. You can find more details and listen to the interview online here.
