An alleged impaired driver struck a hydro pole in Tillsonburg around 9pm Thursday night. The collision knocked out some hydro to the area of Vienna Road at Townline Road, close to Highway 3 in Tillsonburg. The entire hydro pole has to be replaced. The driver fled on foot after hitting the pole, but was arrested once he was caught. 48 year-old Ronald MacIntyre of Tillsonburg is charged with impaired over 80 and failing to remain at the scene of the accident.
