Two people were charged with impaired driving over the weekend in Oxford County.
In Zorra Township police charged a 58 year old man from Thames Centre after his car crashed into a hydro pole on Road 60, west of Ingersoll. OPP were called to the scene on Saturday afternoon around 2:45. OPP say the car slammed into a speed zone sign and they hit the hydro pole. Hydro One were called to the scene to repair the hydro pole and the driver was charged with impaired driving.
The other alleged impaired driver was picked up on Simcoe Street in Tillsonburg. OPP say they pulled over the 31 year old man from Norfolk on Friday night. After investigating they charged him with impaired driving and impounded his vehicle.
