WOODSTOCK - The City of Woodstock is warning residents about independent contractors claiming to work for the City.
Several people have complained about the contractor, who is going door to door asking to access homes for the purpose of videoing the sewer lateral. They claim this work is required by the City's authority.
The City has not initiated this program and suggest residents do not give access to your residence.
When the City initiates work in your area, the City would hand deliver communication and would also provide a City staff contact for inquiries, allowing you to verify the work is required by the City.
