The Ingersoll Rotary Christmas Parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow and it includes over 60 entries this year.
INGERSOLL - Santa Claus is coming to Ingersoll!
The annual Rotary Christmas Parade is taking place tomorrow starting at 11:00 a.m., and Co-Chair John Pettit says it's packed this year.
"We've put together a really good parade. We're seeing over 60 entries this year so we're definitely up from even pre-COVID. We've got a lot of new entries and it'll be a lot of fun. "
You will know when the parade kicks off when you hear the siren coming from the fire hall.
According to Pettit, the entries include a variety of bands, local organizations/groups, businesses, and even animals. Sticking with the tradition, Santa Claus will make his grand entrance on the final float of the parade.
Pettit says the parade should take roughly 45 minutes. He also described the route for all of the spectators.
"We start at the Ingersoll Fire Hall. We line up and do all of the staging on [Wilson Street and Janes Road] on either side of the river, then we go past the arena, head south on Thames Street through downtown, then we make our way past the community centre and up the hill to where it ends at Harrisfield Public School."
For donations, Ingersoll Guides will be picking up mittens and scarves.
