An online survey has been posted on the Speak Up Oxford website.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County wants the public's input.
Warden Marcus Ryan says County Council is looking into the 2024 Development Charges.
"Every year council gets a report on development charges. Development charges are how municipalities fund the services needed for new growth."
In 2023, the County collected $5.2-million in development charges, which was a decrease of $2.4-million over the previous year. Warden Ryan also states that public input is needed.
"We always need to hear from residents on all services that Oxford County delivers and all services we tax our residents for."
Ryan says that council needs to hear from everyone, even if it might be positive. If you visit the Speak Up Oxford website you will be able to voice any comments, concerns, or ideas you may have through an online survey before Friday May 17th.
A public meeting will also be taking place during the regular Oxford County Council meeting on Wednesday May 8th, which has a 9:30 a.m. start time.
