Many topics were discussed during the Heart FM morning show with Mayor Acchione, with the Mayor's Task Force being a major one.
WOODSTOCK - The Mayor's Task Force will be presented to the Woodstock City Council.
At their meeting this Thursday, there will be talks about what has gone on since the Task Force was put together. Mayor Jerry Acchione says it will be informative to all who hear it.
"This is our first update. We're almost two years into it, and I just wanted to update; I'm kind of tired of people saying we're not doing anything."
Acchione says their hands may be tied legislatively, but they are continuing to work with many partners to try and minimize the number of encampments in the Friendly City.
"We work with Safe and Well Oxford really well. Kind of take their mandate and then we kind of make it Woodstock specific and do what we can here in the city."
Thursday's council meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and will be livestreamed online. Acchione is encouraging the public to attend Council Chambers or watch the livestream to stay informed about the latest developments.
