A couple of fast food chains have served their last meals in Oxford County. Taco Bell in Woodstock took down its signs on Dundas St. this morning, while KFC kicked the bucket in Ingersoll over the weekend. It's unknown if the fast food joints have a future in the communities. There's been some financial trouble with parent company "Yum! Brands", which operates KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut. Priszm Income Fund, which owns about 430 Yum! Brands restaurants in Canada, filed for bankruptcy protection last year. They're going through a restructuring process, but it's unknown if that has affected local franchises. Numerous calls and e-mail inquiries to "Yum! Brands" concerning the local franchises, from Heart FM, have not been returned.
