Unifor Local 88 President Dan Borthwick says the union and General Motors will continue to meet at the bargaining table, but little progress is being made.
INGERSOLL - The strike continues at the Cami Plant in Ingersoll.
Mike Van Boekel and Dan Borthwick from Unifor Local 88 travelled to Detroit recently in order to talk job security, economics and contract language with General Motors alongside Jerry Dias and Shane Wark from Unifor National.
In a press release on the Unifor Local 88 website, Borthwick says GM Detroit understood the union's issues; but their response did not address those issues.
Borthwick adds little progress is being made but the Master Bargaining Committee will continue to meet with GM alongside Unifor National Representatives.
