Oxford County Junior Farmers are using a portion of the proceeds from the Truck and Tractor pull to help the community
The Oxford County Junior Farmers are continuing a tradition of stewardship with their latest donation.
Secretary and Media Coordinator Virginia Janssen is proud to announce a $2,500 donation to Habitat for Humanity Heartland.
"Our group is very fortunate. We run the Embro Truck and Tractor pull so one of our mandates with Tractor Pull is it's a fundraiser for our club but we donate most of the proceeds from that to different causes within the Oxford County community. So Habitat for Humanity is definitely a great cause. Houses are getting more and more expensive and it's just really important for us to help others out and getting people into homes that they can afford is definitely something our community needs."
The Junior Farmers will also put putting their backs into the work - they plan to volunteer their time once the builds in Oxford County get started.
