Kassidy Davies says her prize money will help her purchase kinesiology textbooks this fall.
WOODSTOCK - A local Woodstock student will be getting a boost when she attends post-secondary for this fall.
This year’s winner of the Student Civic Award of Excellence is Kassidy Davies.
She is very thankful to be a part of the Woodstock community.
"It goes to show me how important the arts really is in our community, because I’m not just involved in sports, I’m also heavily involved in all the arts and to have that taken in to consideration more than my volunteer work outside of that is pretty awesome."
Davies says her prize money will be put to good use.
“I plan to use the monetary value that was given to me towards books and stuff because I will have a lot of books with anatomy and everything in my program."
