Woodstock sells land to De Jong Enterprises
WOODSTOCK - De Jong Enterprises will be opening a new location in the Friendly City.
The local logistics company has its eye on a property in Bysham Park.
Woodstock Mayor Trevor Birtch is excited to welcome them to Woodstock.
"We've started the process of a sale of 11.4 acres for a need right now as well as an option for an additional 9 acres for future expansion. This is great news for our community!"
De Jong Enterprises has been in business since 1984, and Birtch says they will be a great addition to the Friendly City.
"They handle certain cargos and I guess you would call that 'white glove handling.' They're dealing with very fine pieces of furniture and other items that are very select. They have earned a stellar reputation in the industry for a logistics company."
De Jong Enterprises is currently located on Highway 59, just north of Norwich. Their new Woodstock location will cost them $85,000 an acre.
