People in Ingersoll will be able to place their large items at the curb for pickup over the next few weeks.
INGERSOLL - Large article pickup starts in Ingersoll this morning for all residents in Zone 1.
People who live in Zone 2 can have their items collected starting the week of April 12 and then Zone 3 the Week of April 19. Manager of Waste Services for Oxford County Frank Gross explains some of the items that can be collected.
"Furniture, carpet, some plumbing fixtures like plastic laundry tubs, mattresses and box springs, typically it is material that is not part of recycling or other diversion programs."
Gross says unacceptable items include glass and yard waste.
"So some of those non acceptable programs do have diversion programs like scrap metal, electronics, tires, construction and demolition materials."
Items must be out by 7:00 am. You can find more information online here.
